About the program:
The Biochemistry Department awards a doctoral degree in biochemistry through academic courses and thesis. The department offers a set of compulsory and elective courses. Every candidate for a doctoral degree in biochemistry must successfully pass 42 units, including compulsory and elective courses, and thesis. All PhD candidates must pass written, and oral comprehensive examinations with a score of not less than 70% for each examination category. Successful students can start their scientific research project under the supervision of a faculty member in the department according to specific regulations determined by the College Vice Deanship for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and in coordination with the Department's Graduate Studies Committee.
