The Department of Biochemistry organized workshops inside and outside the university, including the Biochemistry Forum and the path to the labour market, and opening fields of training and work for students. The department also participated in various social and cultural activities. The department cooperated with the private sector at various levels in an effort to achieve a bright future, and also provided an interactive and stimulating environment for department members through the department club and social events. The department also played an effective role in solving problems and challenges that require biochemistry skills.

The department also has a student club that aims to discover the capabilities and skills of students and supports them in order to advance the department scientifically, culturally and creatively, and to have a generous start and responsibility towards the society and the nation. The club provided many scientific, cultural, social and volunteer activities. It was the first club supported by the KAU Endowment (WAQF), and many activities and programs were achieved.

In 2018, the biochemistry club got the highest percentage among students’ clubs in AFAQ competition that provides by he KAU Endowment (WAQF).
